ART'S BIRTHDAY - Call for Collaborators [3] of [3]

Potential Dadaist/Absurdist party ideas we have so far:

• Cake crushing machine. .. remote sledge hammer hits are transfered via network to mechanizim which eventually crushes the cake.

• Glitter blaster.. net work activity sprits gliitter into air.

• Auto crepe cooker... electric fry pan that only cooks when enough network activity is generated.. possibly sound activated.

• Auto crepe/cake decorator.. network activity is translated into lovely desgins of colored icing, syrop or whatever created by machine.

• Auto cocktail mixer ice sculpture .. net work activity mixes colorful martiniis which are chilled as they are routed through ice sculpture into glass.

• Noise makers, buffet table plate spinniers, kinetic others? all activated by network activity.

• Motion detectors, sound level meters, etc. used to generate network activity, passive and active..

• Photosensors on the walls that go in and out of shadow as people move through the space.

• A MIDI piano that plays improvisations on "Happy Birthday" in response to cake candle lights around the world.

Art's Birthday traditionally connects artists in different place and different environments. Collaborators can work from their homes, studios, performance spaces, galleries, or other environments. Projects can be large or small.
