Description of the Venue
Radio is a medium of ether (waves in the air); sometimes a medium of wires (waves on powerlines).
A device is hooked to the shut-off tap of a cold-water pipe. The device is fed (electrically) by sound from a cassette tape deck. The device transforms the sound into mechanical pulses, driven against the metal of the tap by a small spinning motor with leather flaps.
The listener; somewhere in the city where the pipes carry the tapping; listens with a stethascope. |
